Abstract:  Thischapterprimarilyclarifiestherelationshipbetween tourism and traffic. One of the most important accompanying phenomena of tour- ism is the development of traffic; they support each other to allow access to tourist attractions. However, the link between tourism and traffic is unique in that it involves not only transportation but also an experience related to sightseeing and various modes of transportation. The paper aims to present the role of various modes of transportation in tourism, including transfer to protected areas, as well as the cohesion between tourism, ecotourism, and traffic. Several demonstrative examples of traffic development under the in- fluence of tourism from around the world, as well as from Bosnia and Herzegovina, were chosen. Tourism and traffic are the two major contributors to global connectivity, while also providing unique tourist experiences with profound intrinsic value.
